An attic cleanout is the boxes, old baby gear, holiday decorations, and furniture that went up the pull-down stairs and stayed. We bring them down and haul them off.
Attics get hot, so we book mornings. The ladder, the decking, and the heat are why an attic takes longer than the same amount of stuff in a garage. Tell us if the boards are partial, if the opening is small, or if some of the pile has already spilled into the garage.
A light set of holiday bins can be a quarter load once it is on the trailer. A packed attic, plus the garage it spilled into, is often a half or three-quarter load. We look at it on site and set the price before we carry the first box down.
Bagged insulation can go with the junk. Blown-in insulation removal is a different job, and so is anything that looks like asbestos. Paint, fuel, and chemicals that were stored in the heat stay out of the load.
Clear a spot at the bottom of the ladder so boxes have somewhere to land. If the decking is only partial, say so. We stay on the boards that will hold a person and a box. Summer afternoons in a North Texas attic are too hot for a long job, which is why mornings are the slots to ask for. A light holiday attic is a short visit. Twenty years of boxes plus the garage underneath is a half day. Tell us which one you are looking at.
You do not have to carry boxes down the ladder before we arrive. We need a clear landing at the bottom and a path to the door. If the pull-down stairs are loose, tell us when you call.
