An estate cleanout is the haul after family has taken what they are keeping. We load the furniture, the kitchen contents, the garage, and the shed, and we do it on the day that fits the sale or the closing.
We're quick, quiet, and respectful. Someone who knows what stays should meet us at the start. Painter's tape on the keepers saves a lot of questions. After we agree on the pile, you do not have to watch every trip to the trailer.
A common schedule is a sale on the weekend and a haul on Monday or Tuesday for what did not sell. If there is no sale, we still need a walk-through so closets and the garage are part of the price. Keys and lockboxes are fine when the person in charge has cleared us to enter.
Most estate jobs take a half or a full 14-yard trailer, and some houses need a second trip. We will say so before we book the time, not after the trailer is full. Appliances go once the refrigerant is handled. Paint, fuel, and chemicals stay behind for a separate drop.
We donate and recycle what we can. The rest goes to a licensed landfill. We do the loading. The house is left ready for the next step, whether that is a listing, a contractor, or a closing.
Family can take a day to pull keepers before we arrive. Papers and photo boxes should be out of the rooms, or set in one spot we will leave alone. We work room by room so the keep pile stays put. If a sale company is still in the house, we schedule around their pickup. The invoice is one price for the haul, set before we load, with stairs and special items named up front.
