A stair, a 90-degree turn, or a tight ranch landing takes more people and more time. If the path will not work, we will say so before we try to force it.
We treat the piano as a heavy move, with enough people and the right equipment. A bench and a few nearby pieces can go on the same trip. A concert grand that needs a specialist piano crew is outside this job.
Estate houses often include a piano with the rest of the furniture. We can fold it into that cleanout when the path is clear, and we still price the piano for the labor it takes.
We set the price on site before we touch it. If you can describe the floor, the stairs, and the door widths when you call, we show up with the right crew.
An upright on a ground floor with a straight hall is the straightforward version. A turn at the bottom of the stairs, a sunken living room, or a narrow front door changes the crew size. We look at that path before we move the piano. The bench can go with it. If the piano is part of a larger estate cleanout, we can do both on the same visit and still price the piano for the labor it takes. If the path is too tight to move safely, we will say so before we try. A ground-floor upright with a clear hall is the job we plan for.
